An article caught the attention long ago, topic regarding best friend of opposite gender; a person who we share our problems and daily life with, who knows us better than anyone else and even ourselves at times, where we know them as much in turns. That was the time where one personally thinks is lucky enough, to have more than five best friends of a different gender, who have been by the side all this while whenever a helping hand is needed, who are able to calm the soul and put a smile onto the face, who do not mind staying awake just to listen to the complaints. And at the very end of the day, a total different perception has taken over; not all stories and problems can be shared, not all best friends know us better than anyone ever existed and certainly, not all best friends are best friends. Always, we have a different definition of best friend and always, it changes, varying from one grade to another, from one chapter to another. As we move on down the journey of life, we would learn that we do not only share the problems with best friends, but also the others, as long as the time is right, as long as the atmosphere is fine. We have learned that anyone who cares would care, be they the friends, family, or even a passerby; we have figured that there is a lifespan for two to be as close as ever, to be best friends in the eyes of many; and now, we no longer use the term best friend but close friend instead.
