Catching Personalities

A friend of mine has two different blogs for his own, one is what he called, the darker side of himself and the other is the brighter one, Yin and Yang, as the Chinese says. How do we define the darker personalities of ours? To have the evil plans of conquering the world? Or simply, to possess negative thinking? Either one, not all people would reveal their darker sides easily, unless, it is done by accidents. In the process of communicating with one and another, people tend to study our personalities as well, through observations and time being spent together. One once commented, "You don't know the tricks to discover a person's true identity, do you?" Well, we have different types of people around us, the sarcastic ones, the easy going ones, the quiet ones and many more. Somehow, there is something similar, which is we don't just take off our masks in public, but only towards the people we entrusted to, probably, or perhaps, being snatched off without knowing. Curious though, what is the purpose of doing so? To define each and every friend of ours? And choose the better ones from within? Or to prevent ourselves from getting into troubles? Not involving in unnecessary problems?
