The Percentage

"I know 20% about you and that, is a lot," sitting at one corner in the Indian stall, he said. "You may know 100% regarding yourself, a very, very close friend of yours might be 75% and your family would be 50%," he continued. Statement above can be true, after some changes on the percentage given that is. We at times, do not know ourselves very well compared to how much the others know about us, because they see what we don't see, and we see what they can't see. There's a difference, you see. We might not be able to see how we handle problems, how we react, how we socialise and how we speak, as they somehow reflect our personalities and behaviours whereas the people around us definitely cannot see all the thoughts we have in our mind, does not matter whether it is something great or sinister. We are the only one who holds the access key to our mind, our memory, though it might be modified after a period of time. We have been through life, at least part of our life and in many ways, we seem to be the only person who understand our history the best, because like what an article has mentioned, we always stay by our side, from birth to death, strangers to friends, depression to happiness, closer to closest. Yes, we may not understand ourselves fully, but we are still the owners of our life and so, we have the responsibility to know ourselves better, to seek, to track, to learn regarding ourselves because if we don't, who else would?
