Poem: Chains

There he sits for hours, listening to stories.
With all thoughts to be shared, he finds no where to slip in.
Perhaps, this is what meant to be.
For his role in this conversation is to listen, not to speak.
There are food chains in ecosystem, so are the social circles.
Being a listener, to those who need it most.
Taking over their place, he looks for a person who would listen to his instead.
There he starts his journey down the road, stories of the obstacles and so.
The rotation continues.
Chains exist between him and another, linking them to each other.
Not all snakes be the predators, but also being hunted.
He ain't just a listener, for he needs someone to listen in return.
