Anyway, knowing one's feeling and understand one's are totally different. As they said, be in one's shoe. Yes, we may imagine ourselves being in a person's situation. And of course, we might know how that person felt. However, we seriously need to go through what that person went through to actually understand it. Just like reading an article, description on how the writer felt when he's far away from home. From the words, we may start visualizing the feelings of being homesick.
