State of Mind

Attended Eco Camp 116 in Dusun Eco Resort, where the participants are aged from 13 to 17 and there I’ve attended a very important lesson by one of the very few respectable seniors on the first day itself. Like many have known, there is an invisible boundary around us especially when it comes to our doings, in which is predetermined by the adults who bring us up, passing such knowledge from one generation to another until the day a person who would actually go across the boundaries and leave the trade mark in many souls. It is a box which traps us in, which we already have in mind that we are not allowed to go beyond the limitations, though some may not obey such rules and regulations at times. It has always been the mind and actions taken which matter, whether we would react before thinking it through or the other way round. When it comes to the challenges in life, we may hesitate, not knowing how to solve it as the choices given are limited, that is if, we dare not think out of the box and take the risk to step beyond the boundaries. Otherwise, the choice is ours to be made, and the escape route would be in sight. Here’s an example given. A beautiful young lady would be forced to marry a hideous old man if she picks up a black pebble instead of white from the sack given as her father owes him a sum of money; however, she has seen him putting in both black pebbles instead and there is no way she can say no in taking up the challenge. Is there any glimpse of hope in escaping from the fate to marry such despicable man? Remember, it is the state of mind which would give us strength and keep us going; think out of the box and take the risk.
