We expect the others to appreciate our doings, we expect ourselves to hold the power and we expect everyone to at least listen to what we’ve got to say. We want to be treated as a friend, we want to be recognized as someone influential and we want to be acknowledged as a living being. We know how we want ourselves to be treated as, but very often we ignore the needs of others and that they may be hoping for a better treatment too. Nevertheless, are we treating the people around us the way we wish to be treated as? Are we not being prejudice, wearing our own masks in front of them as well? We may be wondering why a person who we think we are close with does not bother to share his problems with us, we might be questioning ourselves why that particular person looks so dead whenever we are around and goes hyper all of a sudden when the third party shows up, and we’d probably be imagining how the others would be talking about us behind our backs. Perhaps we are being sensitive, perhaps we are simply being cautious or perhaps it is the treatment we get in return after how we treated the others. It could be due to the reason that people are jealous of our capability and strength or it could be due to the fact that we are not as good as we think we are. Do we deserve the current treatment we’re receiving? That, I wonder.

Elimination
Does not matter what we do, there may be the competition and rivals, hence, we are required to be outstanding in order to eliminate all competitors in the sense of surpassing them. Certainly, there are many ways that can be done, which are generally categorized into two; one is through lies and tricks whereas the other is by hard work. Unfortunately, most people would go for the first option, creating stories which are not true in order to bring their enemies down. Perhaps they find it easier compared to pushing their own capability to the next level or perhaps they simply not know the second choice which has already presented in sight. There is a certain risk in every decision we’ve made, which hereby including the way we’ve chosen for elimination to be taken place. As we all know, there are the different perspectives, thus there is the chance where a person can see through our motives behind that mask of ours. Every item has its very own breaking point and all humans have the particular movement which would give out the little information about themselves, including their hidden personalities. At the very end of the day, the person who is going to be eliminated would still be a question. Who is eliminating who? That, I wonder.
Against Loneliness
When the two lonely souls meet, they merge as one. It doesn’t have to be someone we know, but a passerby in life. It doesn’t have to be the physical contact, but the link between two separate minds. It doesn’t have to be everlasting, but a temporary satisfaction. We have different ways in ‘exercising’ the loneliness in us, we have a different definition when it comes to emptiness and we have a different circle of people who would be there by our sides when the darkness is engulfing us. We feel the loneliness when we couldn’t find a person to chat with after going through the phone book, we feel helpless when we need someone to share our problems with yet there isn’t any who we dare to open our hearts to and we feel insecure after knowing our friends do not treat us as friends but an enemy instead. We know there must be someone out there who is willing to listen, but it doesn’t mean we have the guts to welcome them entering our minds. We know there is a way to find out who is true and who isn’t, but it doesn’t mean we have the strength to hold on to our belief, to face them ever again. We know what we’ve known and what we are not told, but it doesn’t mean we can solve our problems using what we’ve got. It is the moment where we sense only the loneliness, it is the time where we see nothing else but disappointment and it is simply an entry out to emptiness.

Worse to Show More
We tend to show our capability and strength by sharing a certain experience and story which has taken place. Certainly, there are those who do so in order to gain trust and sometimes sympathy, especially when it comes to a new friend found or the people who might be beneficial in the days to come. We may be exaggerating the story of ours, we could be telling only the parts which would do us good and we might even be creating nonsense which we know it has never happened just to take a person down due to jealousy, thus having the spotlight to ourselves and enjoy the moments when we’re at the highest ground. However, there are times where we fail to hold ourselves back and go overboard, revealing part of our cards, our true identity and intention in the particular cases, hence, not able to obtain the expected result. With the third party who is observant enough to notice our cards revealed, a barrier would be formed and time is all they need to the day we are crushed and fall.
People Alike
We judge book by its cover, and by our own perspective. Perhaps we don’t expect everyone to behave the way we do, but we tend to set this particular barrier in between, searching for the beings who are about our standard, which in other words, are the people who can and should be around us. We may be complaining about an individual on how inappropriate his doing is, we could be prejudice when a person has a lower ranking than we are in the current society and we might be criticizing the people who are slightly different compared to most of the human beings. All and all, we are looking for the similarities and compatibility among the crowd, people like us in the form of thoughts and behavior. Hence the saying people alike get together. Perhaps it is just us, or perhaps it is our nature that we somehow not able to accept the differences at times, where we would feel irritated whenever we interact or meet a person who we think is from the outside world. Nevertheless, we are never alone, as they may feel the same as we do, annoyed by our doings which are different from theirs.

Small World
Most of us have been through the similar occasion where our friends from different circle actually know each other, showing the world is big and yet small enough for us to be connected in such a way which may sometimes surprise us. Same goes to our speech and the information shared as we gossip and even reveal the secrets someone entrusted us at times, be it by accident or the opposite. What we tend to miss out is, the words kept hidden in our hearts do not remain sealed for eternity, in fact, they would be fled when the time has come and may cause the worst chaos ever. A message being sent to a different person and a story told from one individual to another, which may eventually reach the ears of the party involved, leading to disharmony within the circle. We mask some of our personalities and emotions, but the mask would be broken when a person able to see through it all simply by listening to our speech and the actions we’ve taken, where the newly discovered information would then be spread across the circle and probably the small world we’re living in since most of us are connected, where the cycle then repeats.
Summary
Life is happening in a way, with its very own details and description; hence, the story. Nevertheless, not everyone is keen to discover more about the tiny little information which seems to be rather dull and unable to catch as much attention, for it is the main idea that matters. We summarize before we are to share our stories; the lines which play the significant role in passing the message, the little movement which seems to be insignificant but important and the expression which matters most. However, it does not prove that we are summarizing a story which may please everyone who listens, simply because we are doing it in our own ways; a summary we want the others to know, a version which may or may not vary much from the truth. We might be taking out the keywords from the lines and add in some of our own, we may be cancelling part of the scene and create a whole new situation, but all and all, we could be summarizing a total different story and change the so called history.

Yes Society
Whenever we are to share part of our lifetime history, we would usually hoping the others to agree with our doing and decision made, or perhaps standing on the same line as we are in the form of perspective and ideas. Very often, we may raise our opinion regarding the happenings around us and when the third party agree with us, there would be a smile on our faces or perhaps, in our hearts, with the keywords such as “right?”, “isn’t it?” and so on, we reveal our desire of being acknowledged, be it an action we’ve taken or the words we’ve chosen in our sentences. Perhaps it is due to such hidden behavior that we tend to say yes to most of the comments given and sometimes the questions asked. We don’t usually show our disagreement, especially when it involves the sensitive issues which may cause chaos within the circle, as not all voices must be raised if it brings us nothing but arguments and broken bonds. The funny part is, even if there are the two ideas and opinions which are totally the opposite, there is the chance where we may agree to the both of them, not remembering the fact that they are actually conflict with one and another.
