Nothing stays the same as changes always taking place, hence the back up plans; a term which was originally created for the benefit of mankind and still is, in a way. As time goes by, back up has been divided into few categories or perhaps, it has been used in many areas that we sometimes dare not imagine. We have the back up files, the back up players and even back up girlfriends for certain cases. Perhaps some may ask, “What’s wrong with being the back up? At least it shows that you have something which puts you into the list.” Perhaps some might oppose saying, “How many willing to be one if they are given a choice?” As far as we all know, unlike the non-living objects, we human beings have emotions and with the ability to express our feelings we certainly do not just keep our mouths shut and not say a word regarding our dissatisfaction. Who on Earth likes to sit at one corner watching the teammates showing their skills out on the field and all he has to do is to cheer for them? Who on the planet would want to do nothing when he wants and he can do something to help out? Who in the universe doesn’t mind waiting to be called up as the backup boyfriend when he can be the main player instead? Yes we can wait till the day as back up coming to an end and yes we can look at the matter from a different angle, but how long can we behave in such a way, lying to ourselves when we all know it wouldn’t happen at the time being and when we can change our fate by making a different decision?
